Energy Healing

Does Remote Energy Healing Actually Work?

14 August 2025 4 min read

This is a fair question, and I want to address it with the same directness I bring to every session. If someone had asked me this question before I started this work, I would have been sceptical. I came to energy healing through my own experience of it, not through a prior belief system that made it easy to accept. The results are what convinced me. And the results, as I will explain, do not require physical proximity.

After working with hundreds of clients across New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Europe and beyond, all via Zoom, I can speak to this from direct experience. Remote energy healing works. Here is why.

What remote energy healing is

Energy healing works with the body's energetic field: the field of information, frequency, and intelligence that exists within and around every living being. This field is not separate from the physical body. It is continuous with it. It carries the body's history, its patterns, its imbalances, and its potential for restoration.

In the Emotion Code and Body Code, remote sessions are conducted using a technique called proxy testing. Rather than using the client's physical body for muscle testing, the practitioner uses their own body as a surrogate, connecting with the client's energy field through intention. The practitioner's system becomes a temporary representative of the client's system, able to receive accurate information about what is present and what is ready to be addressed.

The client does not need to be physically present. They can be anywhere in the world, in a different time zone, and in some cases even asleep during the session when distance sessions are run without the client consciously present.

The science behind it

I am not going to make exaggerated claims here. The science of energy healing is still developing, and I am aware of the limits of what has been formally established. But there is a coherent framework from established physics and biology that makes remote healing less implausible than it might initially seem.

Quantum physics has established that particles can be entangled: when two particles interact, they can become correlated in such a way that the state of one instantaneously affects the other regardless of the distance between them. This phenomenon, known as quantum non-locality, has been repeatedly demonstrated in laboratory conditions. It does not prove that remote healing works, but it does establish that the universe does not operate by the rules of classical Newtonian physics, where distance is a hard barrier to influence.

The biofield, the electromagnetic field produced by the human body, has been measured and studied for decades. Researchers including Dr James Oschman, whose book Energy Medicine remains one of the most rigorous surveys of this field, have documented that the body communicates through this field in ways that extend beyond the skin.

The HeartMath Institute has produced research demonstrating that the heart's electromagnetic field extends several feet beyond the physical body and can influence others even at a distance. The heart is not merely a pump. It is a transmitter.

None of this is a direct proof of remote healing. But it sketches a world in which the body's field is real, information can be transmitted non-locally, and intention plays a functional role in energetic interaction. That is the framework within which proxy testing operates.

What the practitioner experience shows

Across the Emotion Code and Body Code practitioner community, remote sessions consistently produce results comparable to work conducted in the same room. Clients report shifts. Patterns that felt fixed begin to move. Physical discomfort eases. Emotional weight lifts.

My own experience over more than six years, working with over 700 clients, confirms this. The majority of my sessions are remote. I have worked with people during nights in the UK, early mornings in California, afternoons in Australia. The session unfolds in exactly the same way. The body shows what it needs. The releasing happens. The changes follow.

When clients report back, the feedback is consistent: something moved. Something shifted. The thing that felt immovable is no longer where it was.

What to expect from a remote session with me

We connect via Zoom. See all session types here. You do not need to do anything particular during the session other than be comfortable and receptive. You can sit, lie down, have a cup of tea. Being settled and open is enough.

I use proxy muscle testing to identify what is ready to be addressed in your system: trapped emotions, imbalances, whatever the body is prioritising in this session. I work through the session methodically, releasing what presents, and I share what comes up as we go.

After the session I provide a summary of what was found and released. Some people feel a noticeable shift during the session itself. Many feel something in the hours or days that follow: a sense of lightness, greater emotional ease, or simply an awareness that something that used to weigh on them is no longer there in the same way.

The processing period after a session is worth respecting. Drink water. Rest if you can. Give yourself space for what has moved to settle.

The honest answer

Does remote energy healing work? Based on my training, my certifications through Discover Healing, and my years of direct experience with real clients navigating real challenges: yes.

I would not have built my entire practice around remote work if the results were not real and repeatable. I am not interested in offering something that does not deliver. The work speaks through what clients experience, and what they consistently experience is genuine change.

The best way to know whether this is true for you is to try it. Come to a session with an open, curious mind. Let your body be the evidence.
